BMW X7: This is an SUV model that BMW has not tried before. It is aimed at the large-size SUVs that have already stood in the foot of the world, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the Land Rover Range Rover. The 7-seat layout, full LCD instrument panel, transparent crystal-like handles, full of technology, and 465 horsepower 4.4T V8 and 3.0T L6 gasoline engine, as well as two 3.0T L6 diesel engines of different degrees.

The X7 is BMW's new large SUV, which is also the flagship model of the BMW X Series. The car will be produced at the Baum Fort Bartenberg plant in South Carolina, USA. At the same time, the new car will be listed in the US in March 2019 and will officially land in the Chinese market before June 2019.

The new car's exterior design uses BMW's latest SUV family-based approach. BMW's iconic kidney network is chrome-plated and has an amazing size. I mentioned in the BMW X5 test drive article that this design idea is very suitable for big cars. It was controversial when it appeared on X3 and X4, but it is basically praised on X5. Now X7 will play this design method. To the extreme, highlights the momentum that large SUVs should have. In addition, the BMW X7 will be available in two versions, Design Pure Excellence and M Sport Paket, which are differentiated in body and interior details to suit the preferences of different consumers.

At the same time, the BMW X7 will also be equipped with intelligent laser headlights with a range of up to 600 meters, which is one of BMW's current highlight configurations. The outline of the positive side is basically the same as the X5, but it is only an enlarged version. The design of the rear end is mainly horizontal, which increases the visual width and makes the rear of the car look fuller and solid.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height are respectively 5151/2000/1805mm, and the wheelbase is 3105mm. Compared with the rival Mercedes-Benz GLS, the overall size has advantages in addition to the height of the car.

The interior is very similar to the style of the new BMW X5. Several highlights are worth paying attention to. The 12.3-inch full LCD display panel and the central control screen equipped with iDrive7.0 system still support voice, touch and gesture control modes. Coolable/heated cup holder and crystal-effect block. As the largest SUV in the family, the BMW X7 features a three-row seating layout. The standard is 2+3+2 layout, of course, consumers can choose the second row of more comfortable 2+2+2 layout. In addition, the X7's three-row seats are equipped with a heating function as standard, which shows the comfort of the passengers in the whole car.

The BMW X7 is available in xDrive 50i, xDrive 40i, xDrive M50d and xDrive 30d models, respectively, with a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 engine (465 hp/649 Nm) and a 3.0L turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine (340 Horsepower / 447 Nm), 3.0L four-turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel engine (400 hp / 760 Nm) and 3.0 L turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel engine (265 hp / 620 Nm). However, due to environmental regulations, the 50i model with the V8 engine will not appear in the European market, and it is unknown whether it will be sold in the Chinese market.

In terms of transmission, it is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system. The xDrive 50i will feature an optional dynamic operating kit and off-road kit with an adaptive air suspension as standard. Its 0-96km/h acceleration requires only 5.2s. For the chassis, the BMW X7 features an adaptive suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers and an air spring on the axle. The height of the vehicle can be adjusted via buttons or using the BMW Smart Touch Key, with a range of up to 80mm to accommodate a variety of road conditions. At the same time, the integrated active steering system and the active anti-rolling magic carpet smart air suspension provide the perfect combination of comfort and control. In addition, the new car will also offer a choice of 4 driving modes, including rock, gravel, sand and ice to deal with a variety of harsh road conditions.
